TRAINING SUCCESSFUL PRACTITIONERS

Graduates Abroad – France

My journey into natural health was not a move away from medicine, but an expansion of it.

Dr Amel – Nutrition Graduate

I have always been interested in nutrition, even before I went to medical school. I trained as a medical doctor and later worked in the pharmaceutical industry, so I came to CNM with a strong scientific and conventional medical background. I wanted to understand health from a broader perspective – not only looking at disease and treatment, but at the whole person and the many factors that can influence health.

When I joined CNM to train in naturopathy and nutritional therapy, I initially wondered whether, as a doctor, I could shorten the training. I was told that the process itself mattered. Looking back, I understand exactly what that meant. CNM gave me the time and foundation to question, research, observe and gradually integrate a different way of thinking with the medical knowledge I already had.

One of the experiences that stayed with me happened during the student clinic. A client returned for her follow-up, became emotional and told me, “You changed my life.” I was still learning, and it was the first time somebody had reflected back to me how much a gentle, individualised approach and really listening to the person could matter.

I later continued to broaden my training through herbal medicine and hypnotherapy, as well as functional medicine. Today, my medical background and my training across natural and integrative health all come together in the way I practise. I have never felt that I needed to choose one world over another.

My advice to anyone considering a career in natural health is to stay curious. Learn, question, listen carefully, and allow the process – and the people you meet along the way – to shape the practitioner you become.

CNM’s clinical training is invaluable

Marion – Nutrition Graduate

I absolutely loved my time at CNM; the course was exactly what I hoped it would be. I especially enjoyed the clinical practical training; this proved invaluable when I set up my own practice.

CNM’s approach really appealed to me

I decided to study nutrition after I burnt out when working as a communications consultant for food start-ups. I enrolled as an international student at CNM because at the time, I couldn’t find any training in France which focused on evidence-based nutrition.

I resolved my own health issues

The course dramatically helped me to understand and improve the symptoms I’d been struggling with since puberty: endometriosis, androgenic alopecia and adult acne. After resolving my own health issues with nutrition, I decided to specialise in female health to help others do the same.

I run a busy clinic, workshops & webinars

I now run a busy practice in Paris, France. I help women overcome their hormonal problems with nutrition and lifestyle through one-to-one consultations, workshops, webinars and online content. I also work as a nutrition consultant for brands in the health and wellness industry.

I’ve continued my learning through British and international professional associations, supplement companies and functional labs that offer high-quality training. I feel my knowledge and experience is bringing something new to the French alternative medicine field.

Upon completion of my diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition in 2022, I immediately established my own clinic in France

Amanda – Nutrition Graduate

I discovered CNM in 2009 and it has been my dream to become a Naturopath since then. At that time I was studying for my Bachelor of Science degree, running breastfeeding support groups in the UK for women and babies and I was also a full time mother to my two children. I was finally able to enrol on the Nutrition diploma ten years later in 2019 after I had moved to France. From the start I found the course content to be complex and engaging and I really enjoyed the in person clinics and meeting other students in London. I made some solid friendships with other class members in my year and I found the course to be detailed and the information to always be evidence-based, which I liked.

After completing Biomedicine, I took the diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition. CNM was incredibly helpful when I experienced personal difficulties with a house move in the middle of the pandemic and all the problems that were brought with the study. I really feel that CNM did everything it could to help me and other students in the midst of that global crisis and I am genuinely very grateful to them for their support at that difficult time.

CNM has some top-class lecturers and I feel proud to have achieved my diploma with them.  I am currently taking the Naturopath post-graduate course which I will complete in 2024.

Upon completion of my diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition in 2022. I immediately established my own clinic in France. It has been an overnight success and after 8 months I now work full-time in my own clinic and make a sustainable income which continues to grow and grow. I plan to specialise in Integrative Oncology in the future and I feel that my education at CNM has given me the best platform for being an effective Naturopath and Nutritionist. My website is www.amandakingnd.com

I have recommended CNM already to others who are also studying for the same qualification and I don’t hesitate to recommend CNM to anyone interested in top quality education and excellent student support.
